The illegal act was discovered during a raid by the environmental police and inspectors from the Natural Resources and Environment department. Also present was a representative of the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone in Cu Chi District, where the company is based. The team found that around 500 square meters of the floor at the warehouse and rolling factory of the D-L International Ltd., which produces steel pipes, was new. They dug the place up and found that dust produced during the companyâs production was mixed with mud and buried there. The company has confessed to its wrongdoing, they said. They also found that in many other places, waste that smelled like ammonia had been piled up on the floor and covered with canvas. Waste samples were taken for further tests before action is taken against the company for its wrongdoing, the environmental police said. Reported by Thai Hoang â“ Hieu Dung | |||||||
