Chairman of Hoa Phat Group Tran Dinh Long will buy a private aircraft to become the second businessman in Vietnam owning a private plane.

Long announced the information at Hoa Phat group’s shareholder meeting. Long will pay all kinds of expenses for this plane himself though the contract will be signed in the name of Hoa Phat group.

Long said he would use this vehicle to serve his job at Hoa Phat group.

The deal is under negotiation so the plane doesn’t fly to Vietnam yet. Hoa Phat group said that this will be a helicopter and it will be used to serve mining activities. However, detailed information about this craft is not disclosed.

Long will be the second man in Vietnam who owns a private aircraft, after Doan Nguyen Duc, the chairman of Hoang Anh Gia Lai group, who has a Beechcraft King Air 350 worth $5.1 million.
