Phu My Bridge BOT Corporation and HCMC Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Co. have agreed on a ticket issue plan to avoid double-tolling vehicles crossing Phu My Bridge.

Nguyen Thanh Thai, general director of Phu My Bridge BOT Corp., said some vehicles travel from Phu My Bridge to Road 25B and to Hanoi Highway, to avoid using Dien Bien Phu Street. The ticket will let CII know where the cars come from, he explained.

Similarly, vehicles from Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces will also receive a ticket at the Hanoi Highway toll collection station to present at the bridge’s station. Tolling at the cable-stayed bridge will begin today.

Meanwhile, vehicles that travel through Dien Bien Phu Street to Hanoi Highway will be subject to toll fees at the highway’s station.

The HCMC Goods Transport Association earlier asked CII to install cameras on Dien Bien Phu Street to serve toll collection after the enterprise incorrectly imposed tolls on vehicles that did not use the street.

Le Vu Hoang, CII general director, said the tickets would be used until camera installation is completed on April 15.
