The authorities on April 20 reported initial losses worth more than 10 billion dong ($525,000). Many are homeless and government officials have granted from 1 to 5 million dong to these families.

On April 20, another tornado with severe hail hit these communes again, causing even more difficulties for residents.

The twister on April 19 is the fiercest of the past 45 years in Quang Nam province.
