The crocodile farm’s owner, Tang To, 58, patrolled 19 crocodile cages, totaling 1700 heads, at 8pm and then climbed up 3 meters to sentry box. He felt asleep at 11pm. He woke up and patrolled the cages again in the early morning hours of May 15 and saw that two cages were broken and over 300 crocodiles of 4-6kg each disappeared.

Some neighbours saw a small truck and two motorbikes with four men parked around 100m from the crocodile farm that night. Some others saw the truck and the motorbikes going to National Highway 22 in the early morning hours of May 15.

To reported that this is the third break-in so far. Six years ago he lost over 70 crocodiles and 300 tortoises, worth over 500 million dong (over $40,000). This time the loss is estimated at more than 300 million dong ($16,000).

Police are investigating the case.
