This man, from Que Son commune, Que Phong district, was said to be terrified of the disease. He held a home-made mine and pulled the fuse at his home.

It is very lucky that when the man committed suicide, there was nobody at home.

According to the man’s family, he tried to commit suicide several times but he was prevented in time.

The family didn’t request police to investigate the suicide.

Vietnam had 156,802 HIV patients by the end of 2009.
