Police on June 29 arrested three people who are accused of causing wave disturbances at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, affecting aircraft landings and takeoffs.

Noi Bai International Airport, the second largest airport in Vietnam.

According to investigators, since late 2009, Vu Duc Trung, director of the Vietnam Technological Service 1 Co., Ltd. based in Soc Son district, installed an illegal telecommunication receiver and transmitter system at the house of Le Van Thanh and Le Van Manh and broadcasted illegal information.

This act caused wave disturbances at Noi Bai International Airport, affecting the landing and takeoff of aircrafts.

Investigators detected a strange frequency operating from 5am to 5pm from Soc Son district. On June 29 the three men were arrested while their illegal telecom system was seized.

Police are working on the case.
