The Asian Film Foundation has announced the list of film makers and movies that will be sponsored by the foundation at the 15th Busan Film Festival. “Endless Field”, which is based on a story by writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu, is the only Vietnamese film at the Busan Film Festival this year.

This film is among five films that will be funded by the Asian Film Foundation during its post-production stage. The film director will be invited to South Korea to work on the film’s sound and color while he completes the film.

However, if “Endless Field” is screened for the first time at the Busan Film Festival, it will lose the chance to take part in other international film festivals like Cannes, Venice, Berlin, or Toronto.

The film director Nguyen Phan Quang Binh won the Pusan Promotion Plan title in 2006 for “One Rainy Day.” “Endless Field” is his second large-screen film after “The Dance of Stork”.

Started in 1996, the annual Pusan International Film Festival is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. The event aims to introduce new films and first-time directors, as well as develop and promote young talent, especially those from Asian countries.
