An exhibition of HCM City’s achievements in developing transport facilities from 2000-2010 has attracted thousands of visitors. Here are some photos introduced at the exhibition.

Big transport works like the Phu My and Nguyen Van Cu bridges, the East-West and Nguyen Van Linh avenues, etc. are HCM City’s outstanding achievements in the last decade.

Eye catching HCM City

An exhibition of the city’s achievements in developing transport facilities from 2000-2010 has attracted thousands of visitors.

Here are some photos introduced at the exhibition:

Phu My bridge is the first cable-stay bridge in HCM City and the fifth on Saigon river, linking Districts 7 and 2. The six-lane bridge, invested with some VND2 trillion, started construction in early 2007. Its spans 2.5 kilometers and its vertical clearance is 45 meters.

After being delayed for several times, Nguyen Van Cu Bridge opened for traffic in late April 2009. This bridge connects the city hub to new urban areas in the south.


The first highway for cars in Vietnam, which opened on February 3 2010.

Nguyen Van Linh Avenue, the longest road in HCM City which was built in 11 years.

Ong Lon bridge, which crosses Ong Lon canal, one of the most modern bridges in HCM City.


The East-West Avenue and HCM City-Trung Luong highway.


Rung Xac road, which links the city’s centre and Can Gio district.

Phu My Hung urban area - the best model of its type in VIetnam.
