In remote and isolated villages in the Central Highlands, people rarely go to the delta to purchase goods because they have “mobile markets” which supply essential goods to their homes. These “mobile markets” go to villages on motorbikes. After selling goods to villagers, the sellers buy used bottles and things to carry back to town for sale.

Le Thi Kim Cuc from Krong Pa town in Gia Lai province, transports cooking to Dat Bang village every morning. As the Krong Pa topography is quite flat, most of the mobile sellers are women.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Van Nam from Dak Ha town in Dak Nong province travels around 300km a day to carry goods from the town to remote villages.

The road to remote villages is very difficult.

Mobile sellers always take a pump and a tool set to repair their vehicles.

A teacher of Ngoc Tem primary school in Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province purchases goods from a mobile seller. The prices for goods are very high because it takes sellers nearly a day to get from town to this place.
