VietNamNet – While storm Lionrock is still in the East Sea, two other storms have taken shape in the northwest Pacific Ocean and are headed to China.

Storm Lionrock doesn’t affect Vietnam.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecast, Lionrock was around 250km off the coast of Fuchien (China), at grade 9-10 yesterday evening (September 1).

24 hours after that, the storm will move northwest at a speed of 10-15km per hour. The storm will hit Fuchien coast this afternoon, which will reduce its strength.

At the same time, two other storms, named Namtheun and Kompasu, have appeared off the eastern Chinese coast.

Experts said that it is rare for three storms to operate at the same time in a narrow space of the northwestern Pacific Ocean, making accurate forecasting more difficult.

Though they are forecasted not to affect Vietnam, these storms are developing in a complicated manner, causing weather forecasters to worry.
