Curious crowds are flocking to the house of a woman in the central Phu Yen Province to see a huge crab she caught last week.

Dang Thi Thu Trang in Tuy An District caught a crab of 1.5kg while fishing in O Loan lagoon. She was scared to see the giant and asked her family members to pull it out of the net.

The crab has two claws that are as big as an adult wrist. The crab is male, 60cm long and its shell diameter is nearly 20cm.

Curious crowds are flocking to Loan’s house to see the huge crab, but nobody wants to buy the crab for cooking.

Old fishermen in the region said that they have never seen such a big crab in their lives.
