Authorities in Hanoi have decided to revoke 13.93 hectares of lands previously assigned to 13 projects that have been slow to start implementation.

The city’s Department of Natural Resources and Environment said it has also proposed to the People’s Committee that another 12.7 hectares of land are withdrawn from six other projects which have failed to launch construction by August 1 as ordered.

According to the department, the six projects were among 32 projects that had been allowed to extend their deadline for starting works until August 1.

It suggested authorities urge other projects to speed up their work.

Meanwhile, the Department of Planning and Investment and the city’s Site Clearance Steering Committee have reported that according to their latest survey, another 50 investors assigned public land have been slow to start work on their projects.
