Vietnamese survivor reveals photos of Antarctic shipwreck

Sailor Le Quang Ruc
provided the local media with pictures of the Antarctic shipwreck taken by the
rescue team in early December. three Vietnamese sailors died in the accident.

The Korean fishing
boat, No. 1 Insung, sank off Antarctica on
December 13, with 42 sailors on board, including ten Vietnamese. Twenty sailors
were rescued, five were confirmed dead (one Vietnamese) and 17 were missing
(two Vietnamese).

The seven
Vietnamese survivors arrived home on December 27.

Sailor Le Quang Ruc
gave the local media some pictures which captured terrifying moments during the
sinking of the ship, taken by rescue workers.

After the ship
sank, many lifebuoy andplastic cans were floating

but as the water was too
cold, many exhausted sailors couldn’t reach them.

The ship sank in the
frozen Antarctic sea.
