Four workers, including three Vietnamese, died as a furniture factory went up in flames early Wednesday in Malaysia’s Puchong town, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The agency quoted Luu Thi Huong, one of the three survivors of the fire, as saying that the blaze started at around half past midnight when seven workers, including her, were sleeping on the first floor of the factory run by the Gasofa company.

The fire claimed the life of three Vietnamese people, identified as Ma Van Man, 26, Dao Van Kien, 28, and Nguyen Thi Nhung, 35. The other victim is a Malaysian, identified as B. Prabu, 21.

Remains of the fire victims were sent to the Serdang Hospital for DNA tests to determine their identities, Malaysia’s Bernama newspaper reported.

The newspaper also said it took 30 firemen along with four fire engines one hour to bring the fire under control.
