VietNamNet Bridge – The movie by Vietnamese/French director Tran Anh Hung was presented with the Best Cinematography Award at the Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong on March 21.

The fifth Asian Film Awards gathered together movies from South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Thailand, and elsewhere. Movie stars such as Zhang Ziyi, Aaron Kwok Fushing, director Feng Xiaogang attended the awards ceremony.

Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul won the Best Film Award for “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives”, which won the Golden Palm Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2010.

However, Korea director Lee Chang Dong won the Best Director Award for his film “Poetry”.

Xu Fan, who played the role of the mother in “Aftershock”, received the Best Actress Award while Ha Jung Woo of Korean movie “The Yellow Sea” took the Best Actor title.

Norwegian Wood by Vietnamese/French director Hung won the Best Cinematography for cameraman Mark Lee.
