Operation Smile Vietnam (OSV) will hold a gala dinner and artwork auction in Hanoi on March 5 to raise funds for free surgeries for children with facial deformities.

At the 13th annual event, “An Evening of Smiles,” OSV will auction paintings donated by domestic and foreign artists.

The website of Voice of Vietnam quoted Nguyen Viet Phuong, head of OSV, last month as saying that the funds raised from the event will help provide free surgeries for about 500 Vietnamese children with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.

The dinner and auction will take place at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi, 1 Thanh Nien Road, Ba Dinh District.
