Initial investigations showed that Hema Malini Kandasamy, 28, entered Vietnam Monday via the Tan Son Nhat International Airport on a flight from Singapore.

She then met an African to receive the drug, which was later identified as Methamphetamine, and planned to bring it to Malaysia on Wednesday.

However, police in cooperation with HCMC Customs’ anti-drug team busted her at a hotel with the drugshidden in a suitcase.

Further investigations into the case are now underway.
