VietNamNet Bridge – After three years away from coaching, former coach of Song Lam Nghe An, East Asia clubs and vice coach of the national squad, Nguyen Thanh Vinh will return in the 2009 football season as the coach of Hoa Phat Hanoi club.

Vinh will lead Hoa Phat Hanoi for two years. His top mission is bringing the team back to V-League. The coach said this is not pressure on him because Hoa Phat’s ability is good.

“We have more than ten players who are playing well. We only need to recruit some more young players to have a good team for the First Division tournament,” Vinh added.

Vinh will go to Hanoi to assume his post on September 20.

Vinh, 62, is a famous coach in Vietnam. He led Song Lam Nghe An to many prizes, including the V-League championship in 2000, 2001. He was also a good assistant to former coach of the national squad Alfred Riedl.

Vinh’s career was interrupted in 2005 when he was prosecuted for bribing referees when he just assumed the post of chief coach of the East Asia club.
