VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese shooters continued their good form at the 32nd Southeast Asian Shooting (SEASA) Championships when they brought home four more gold medals yesterday.

Vietnamese shooters won two more golds later yesterday in the men’s 50m free pistol individual and team events.

Laos’ Kham La was the runner-up with 232 points.

Meanwhile, in the women’s team 10m air rifle, Vietnam team took home the second gold of the day with 1018 points. Team Laos came second with 559 points.

The individual gold went to marksman Vu Manh Tuong, who won gold medals in the men’s free pistol and air pistol events at the Thailand SEA Games in Nakhon Ratchasima last December. With 1637 points, Vietnam wrapped up the fourth gold.

In the women’s individual 10m air pistol, Tien Chia Chen of Chinese Taipei bagged the gold medal with 485 points.

Vietnam’s Le Thi Hoai Ngoc and Hong Kong’s Lo Ka Kay were the runners-up with 469.9 and 468.4 points, respectively.

Chinese Taipei lifted the gold medal in the women’s team 10m air pistol. On Tuesday Vietnam bagged two gold medals.

The tournament, which is being held by Vietnam for the fourth time, has drawn 10 teams from regional countries and territories including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese Taipei.

Shooters are competing for 44 medals.

The organising committee also invited 17 international umpires, including two from Vietnam to officiate at the tounament.
