VietNamNet BridgeThe Asian Chinese Chess Team Championship 2008, held in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, closed on October 24 after 6 days of competition. Vietnam won a total of three bronze medals at the tournament.

VietNamNet Bridge – The Asian Chinese Chess Team Championship 2008, held in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, closed on October 24 after 6 days of competition. Vietnam won a total of three bronze medals at the tournament.

Vietnamese player, Nguyen Thanh Bao, successfully defeated his rival at the 2nd set, gaining the first bronze medal for the national team. Meanwhile, another Vietnamese player, Trenh A Sang, took full advantage of his rival at the 3rd set to win a bronze medal with a score of 4-2.

The final bronze medal went to Ngo Lan Huong in the women’s contest.

At the final set, Nguyen Anh Quan, lost to an East Malaysian player in the first 20 moves of game.

The tournament closed with the Chinese team winning 3 gold medals to take first place and Vietnam gaining 3 bronze medals.
