VietNamNet Bridge – Dong Tam Long An football club has appointed Swedish coach Stefan Hansson as the temporary coach of the team, replacing Tran Cong Minh who is busy at a course in HCM City until December 7.

Hansson will finalize an exercise plan for the team in the new football season. He will also lead the team at the Binh Duong Cup in late November.

Hansson, 51, played for Swedish professional teams that participated in the UEFA Cup, such as Trellerborg, Lanskrona, Malmo and then San Jose (USA), Melbourne (Australia) from 1970-1996.

He played 300 matches, scoring 78 goals. He was a member of the Swedish national squad for 30 matches, scoring 8 goals.

Saying goodbye to his football career at the age of 38, he attended coach training courses and received FIFA’s professional coach certificate. Before working for Dong Tam Long An (as of November 4, 2008), Hansson was the coach for five clubs in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. He led Malmo and Trellerborg clubs to the championship in a professional football tournament in Sweden.
