VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) last week released the schedule for next year’s football tournaments, which is designed to fit with the national football squad (U23)’s international fixture list.

The new football season will start with the first matches under the National Cup 2009 on January 31, 2009. One day later there will be a match between Binh Duong and Hanoi ACB for the Super National Cup.

On February 6, 2009, the First Division Tournament will open and V-League 2009 will begin on February 7. The two most important tournaments of Vietnamese football will close on August 22 and 23, respectively.

The Second Tournament Division will run from March 31 and finish on May 15, 2009 while the Third Tournament Division will be scheduled in mid-October.

The final round of the U-15 tournament will run from August 12-22 while the finals of U18 will take place from July 8-18, and the U19 tournament January 2 to March 12. September 17-27 will be when the U21 tournament is held.

The schedules for the National Women’s Football Championship 2009, Women’s U19 Tournament, the National Futsal Championship, U11 and U13 tournaments are not available yet.

Beach football will appear in the official competition system of the Vietnam Football Federation next year.
