VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s women’s U19 football squad beat Jordan with a score of 6-0 in the final match of the qualifier round of the Asia Women’s U19 Football Championship 2009 on Thursday in Malaysia.

Vietnamese footballers took part in the match at ease because they would surely enter the final round in case they lost by two points against Jordan. But they were not subjective and scored six goals.

Scorers included Nguyen Thi Nguyet, Nguyen Thi Hoa, Pham Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Huong, Phung Thi Nhung, and Tran Thi Thu at the 4^th, 12^th, 32^nd, 34^th, 62^nd and 63^rd minutes.

In the remaining match of group A, the Philippines defeated Singapore 2-1. Ultimately, South Korea was the winner in all five matches, ranking first in the group. Vietnam secured the second position, with four winning and one losing match, followed by Myanmar (3 wins, 2 losses), and Jordan.

South Korea and Vietnam will enter the final round while Myanmar may secure a lucky ticket to the finals.

Vietnam’s U19 team will return home on Friday. The final round will take place in China next year.

The qualifier round will conclude Friday by two matches in group B, Australia versus Thailand and Taiwan versus India.
