Hoang Du, deputy chief of the event’s promotion committee, said that the goal is not easy to be achieved at present time when most of businesses have planned to cut down their expenses on advertisement and marketing due to the gloomy economy.

The organising board, however, has formulated a sponsorship regulation with various incentives which will provide sponsors with a variety of advertisement opportunities, Du said.

The AIG III is scheduled to take place in six cities and provinces of Vietnam from October 30 to November 8, 2009, drawing participation of over 5,000 competitors from 45 Asian countries and territories.

He said the event will be broadcast live in Vietnam and 40 other countries on four international channels, namely ESPN, StarSport, CCTV and True, being expected to attract 2.5 billion audiences worldwide.
