VietNamNet Bridge - The National Table Tennis Championship - VietinBank Cup 2008 officially started at Trinh Hoai Duc Competition Hall in Hanoi yesterday.

The competition attracted 24 most outstanding table tennis players who were selected from tournaments in 2008.

The players will compete on a round robin basis in both events for men and women. The organising board will grant one first prize, one second prize and two third prizes. VND10 million prize will be delivered to the champion.

The National Table Tennis Championship, the highest-level competition in the system of tournaments of the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation, will conclude on December 21.
