Thailand’s Thaworn Wiratchant is looking to seal a successful 2008 season with a win performance at the Hana Bank Vietnam Masters which tees off Thursday.

The former Asian Tour number one enjoyed success in Vietnam in 2005 and is eager to repeat his feat in the US$250,000 tournament, taking place at the Vietnam Golf and Country Club.

“I’ve had a good 2008 season and I hope for another strong result this week,” said Thaworn, who won a record 10th title on the Asian Tour at the Bangkok Airways Open in June.

“I am always happy to return to Vietnam with fond memories of my win in 2005.”

Thaworn will be backed by compatriot Thongchai Jaidee and defending champion Chapchai Nirat in the event, alongside India’s S.S.P

Chowrasia, Filipino Frankie Minoza, Malaysia’s Danny Chia and Australia’s David Gleeson.

Chawalit Plaphol of Thailand and England’s Simon Griffiths, who both finished as runners-up last year, also return.

Asian Tour winners Hwang Innchoon and Mo Joong-kyung will lead the Korean effort for Vietnam, alongside youngster Park Jun-won and Young Nam.
