VietNamNet Bridge - With eight golds, two silvers and five bronzes, Vietnamese fencers dominated at the Southeast Asian Fencing Championships, held in Brunei from November 30 to December 9.

Tran Thi Len secured a gold in the women’s épée category after having defeated her Indonesia opponent 15-8 in the final.

Other three golds for Vietnam in the individuals events went to Nguyen Le Ba Quang in the men’s sabre, Nguyen Thi Tuoi in the women’s foil and Nguyen Thi Le Dung in the women’s sabre.

Vietnam also grabbed four golds in the team events.

The Southeast Asian Fencing Championships this year attracted representatives from nine countries.
