Vietnam will, for the first time, host the Asian Women’s Senior Volleyball Championship 2009, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation has announced.

The event, scheduled for Sept. 5-13 in Hanoi , expects to attract top Asian national teams as China , the Republic of Korea , Japan and Kazakhstan as well as strongest Southeast Asian squads of Thailand , Indonesia and host Vietnam.
