LookAtVietnam – A list of 10 most outstanding athletes of Hai Phong City in 2008 has recently been announced.

The list highlighted well-known names such as ’the whale’ Nguyen Huu Viet, member of the national swimming team at the Beijing Olympic Games 2008, who also broke seven records at the national tournaments and the ASEAN University Games; midfielder Nguyen Minh Chau of the Vietnam national football squad; Bui Thi Nhung, gold medalist at the Asian Track and Field Stars Championship in India, shooter Pham Cao Son, 4-time Southeast Asian gold medalists.

In 2009, Hai Phong sets a target of the third position in the national sport rankings.
