Coach Henrique Calisto.

VietNamNet Bridge – The chief coach of the national football squad Henrique Calisto returned to Vietnam on February 16 after nearly one month on holiday in his home, Portugal.

Calisto is said to have a very busy year in Vietnam. His major duty this year is the 25th SEA Games. The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has given the national squad and the U23 to this coach. Calisto will have to seek young talents for the U23 team and this job will have close connections with V-League 2009.

Calisto will have to watch every match of V-League to choose the best players for his squads. “I will watch the first two rounds of V-League on video tapes and will directly watch the upcoming matches,” the coach said.

Once Calisto appears, footballers will have to try to show off, wishing to enter the eyes of the Portuguese coach, particularly young players, who aspire to join the national teams.

It is believed that the coming of Calisto will be a “magic medicine” which will cause many surprises in V-League.
