The shoes that midfielder Minh Phuong wore during the final match of the AFF Cup 2008 will be auctioned to assist child patients at the HCM City Tumour Hospital and disadvantaged young players of Dong Tam-Long An football club.

The starting price is VND20 million ($1,175). Minh Phuong bought this pair of Adidas for VND5 million ($295) before he joined the national squad. The shoes were used for the first time at the T&T Cup 2008. In this tournament, Minh Phuong scored a goal in the match against Thailand.

He also used this pair of shoes during the AFF Cup 2008. In the second leg of the final, he assisted on striker Cong Vinh’s game-winning goal.

The auction began on Tuesday, February 3 and it will close on February 28. The pair of shoes will be given to the winner on March 1, during the match between Minh Phuong’s club Dong Tam Long An and T&T Hanoi.
