The tournament will be held in Fukushima District between June 1-8, and is being jointly held by the Japanese Football Federation and the Foreign Ministry. The programme aims to strengthen cultural and sporting exchanges between Mekong countries.
Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand will also be sending their junior football teams to the tournament.

The festival will be a chance for the team to gain experience and sharpen their skills in preparation for the 25th Southeast Asian Games and the third Asian Indoor Games later this year.
