The 2009 Games will feature 7 sports including: athletics, swimming, table tennis, badminton, weight lifting, chess and tennis. The event’s regulations are based on the 2007 Paragames’.

The top athletes will be called up to the national team to get further training in preparation for 5^th Paragames in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August, as Laos cannot afford to host another international sporting event.
