Brad dons yellow, Tuan Anh wins stage

LookAtVietnam – Cyclist Do Tuan Anh won yesterday’s second stage of the Binh Duong Television International Cycling Tournament, while Hall Brad of the Ysselstreek team from the Netherlands is wearing yellow.

Anh from the Domesco Dong Thap team clocked a top speed of 38.672kph during the 121km stage from Binh Phuoc’s Dong Xoai Town to Dac Nong’s Gia Nghia Town. He completed the stage in three hours, seven minutes and 44 seconds.

Hall Brad and Vinh Long’s Bui Minh Thuy finished second and third, respectively.

Hall will keep the yellow jersey with a total race time of 5:12.54. The Dong Thap leads the team competition with a combined time of 15:43.51, followed by the Netherlands’ Ysselstreek team and the Mongolian team.

Today, cyclists will continue in a 125km stage between Gia Nghia Town to Buon Me Thuot City.

The event, which has total prize money of VND178 million (US$10,100) on offer, is recognised as a national tournament by the Viet Nam Cycling Federation.

Three foreign teams from the Netherlands, Thailand, and Mongolia are also competing in the event.

The tournament will end on Sunday when racers will cycle 185km from Phan Thiet back to Binh Duong.
