LookAtVietnam – Nguyen Van Tai triumphed with a stage win in the third leg of the Binh Duong Television International Cycling Tournament yesterday, while Hall Brad of the Netherlands’ Ysselstreek team kept his hold on the yellow jersey.

Pulling out in front: Nguyen Van Tai of Domesco Dong Thap triumphed with a stage win in the third leg of the Binh Duong Television International Cycling Tournament yesterday.

Tai from the Domesco Dong Thap team clocked a top speed of almost 42kph during the 128km stage. He completed the event in three hours, three minutes and 39 seconds.

Thurakit Boonratanathanakorn of Thailand and Le Duc Thang of Binh Duong Water Supply finished second and third, respectively.

Brad will still wear yellow to start today’s stage with a total race time of eight hours, 17 minutes and 41 seconds.

The Domesco Dong Thap team leads the team competition after three stages with a total time of 24:57:04, followed by the Netherlands’ Ysselstreek and the Mongolian team.

Today, 11 local and three foreign teams will continue the race in the 185km fourth stage from Buon Me Thuot to Nha Trang.

The fifth edition of the event, which began on Sunday, will cover more than 1,000km over eight stages.

The tournament will finish this Sunday when racers will cycle 185km from Phan Thiet back to Binh Duong.
