Midfielder Danh Ngoc of Mikado Nam Dinh Club on March 25 sent a petition to the Disciplinary Sub-committee of the organising board of V-League 2009 and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) asking for commutation.

After having committed “uncultured” actions against The Cong club’s fans, Danh Ngoc was fined VND10 million and suspended for six matches. In his petition, this player asked VFF to consider commuting the suspension and promised to change himself. He said that he committed the mistake because he was too young and superficial.

The chairman of Mikado Nam Dinh, Nguyen Hung Thai, said the club supported Danh Ngoc in seeking commutation so the midfielder might have an opportunity to play football again very soon.

He said Danh Ngoc is young so the bad behaviour broke out spontaneously, it is not his nature. This player had never committed a similar mistake before. The coaching board of the National Young Teams never complained about Danh Ngoc’s character.

“I and the management board of Mikado Nam Dinh hope the VFF will consider and mitigate the suspension of Danh Ngoc,” Thai said.

The chief of the Discipline Sub-committee Le Hai Huong said Danh Ngoc’s remorse may be considered.
