More than VND190 billion was raised at a Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Friendship Charity Golf tournament at the Long Thanh Golf Club in Dong Nai province on March 28.

Nearly 200 senior officials and domestic and foreign entrepreneurs competed in the event.

The golf tournament was not only a sports event but also an opportunity to promote tourism among the three countries: Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

The proceeds will be used to carry out charity activities such as free eye surgery for poor people, heart operations for children, house building for homeless people, aid relief for victims of natural disasters and scholarships for poor pupils.
