Thien stars in Asian U-14 tennis

| Vietnamese tennis prodigy Nguyen Hoang Thien has breezed into the finals of both the boy’s singles and doubles events at the Jubilee School U-14 Asian Junior Championships being held in Indonesia.
In the singles semifinal, he crushed Thailand’s Wichaya Tongjaroenchaikul in two straight sets and will take on another Thai, Koaykul Kirtin, on March 30. In the doubles event, Thien and Syrian partner Amer Naow triumphed over Indonesian pair Irfrandy Hendrawanand/Frederico Rumambi, also in straight sets. They take on Thai duo Koaykul Kirtin/Parl Rungseeborirak. The Jubilee School U-14 Asian Junior Champion is an annual event held since 1995. VietNamNet/SGGP |
