The twelve teams will include Thailand, Laos, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Australia, and Vietnam.

The total bonus is US $12,000, including US $2,500 for the champion, US $1,800 and US $1,500 for the second and the third place teams.

This is the first time an international beach volleyball tournament is being held in Ba Ria – Vung Tau. If this event is successful, the province will host this tournament on a yearly basis.

The event is jointly organized by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Tourism JS Company, and the Ciat Advertising and Trade Fair JS Company.
