The 2009 Hanoi Tennis Championships closed on April 19 after three days of competition at Quan Hoa tennis courts in Cau Giay district.

The tournament drew 159 tennis players, aged 30 to 61 years old, from 50 clubs in Hanoi to compete in the men’s singles and doubles and women’s doubles events.

Players Nguyen Huu Hoa (from Hitech club) and Vu Duc Son (from PetroVietnam Northern Gas Company) gained first prizes in the men’s singles in the under 30 and over 46 age groups.

Luong Hoang and Ngo Van Dang from Hitech club won the under 30 men’s doubles.

Vu Quynh Huong and Pham Kim Lien from Vinh Tuy club won the under 35 women’s doubles event.

The 2009 Hanoi Tennis Championships was organised by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Hanoi Tennis Federation.
