Ha Noi women defeat Ha Nam to reclaim top of table; Hang to run 800m, 1500m in Thailand tournament

Ha Noi are front-runners to win the first leg of the National Women’s Football Championship after beating Ha Nam 4-1 in the fifth round on Thursday in Thai Nguyen Province.

The defending champions’ fourth victory puts them back on the top of the table with 12 points.

Meanwhile, Ha Nam are still in last place with no points after their fifth loss and worst ever showing in national competition.

Second-placed Coal and Minerals, who are on 10 points, are playing hosts Thai Nguyen today. Hoa Hop Ha Noi are ranked third on six points.

Hang to run 800m, 1500m in Thailand tournament

Truong Thanh Hang will compete in the women’s 800m and 1,500m at an invitational athletics tournament in Thailand on April 24.

All members of the Vietnam Athletics team will be competing in the event.

Hang, the reigning Asian champion and Southeast Asian Games gold medallist, has been training at the National Training Centre 3 in Da Nang.

The HCM City-born athlete finished her contract with HCM City last month and has been in negotiations with another team.
