Spanish club Barcelona and the Japanese corporation YHA Friday launched their “Just for Kicks” football clinic in Ho Chi Minh City for boys aged 10 to 14.

For every boy attending the clinic, it means at least three hours of learning football the Spanish way from FC Barcelona’s coaches.

The three-day clinic includes a training session for aspiring coaches from HCMC.

“Just for Kicks” began life in Singapore in 2007 and aims to impart the Spanish football philosophy.

YHA, a subsidiary of Yoshida Kogyo Kabusikigaisya, and FC Barcelona, view their football clinics in Vietnam and India as a form of corporate social responsibility.

“It is important for YKK to contribute to and work with the local community. I believe that this event will bring great joy to children in Vietnam and India,” said YHA’s managing director, Ken Nakano.
