Vietnam joins World Taekwondo Team Championship

The national taekwondo team will leave for Azerbaijan on June 11 to compete at the World Taekwondo Team Championship in Bacu City. The tournament will attract the participation of 24 teams of six men and women who have been selected on the strength of their performances in World Taekwondo Federation competitions. They will compete in a round-robin format, and the finals are scheduled for June 14. Vietnamese officials and coach Kim Jae-sik, of the Republic of Korea, will name four to five women fighters early next month to compete in Azerbaijan. VietNamNet/VOV
