8 members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) including Australia, China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and the home country Vietnam will take part in the Festival from June 17-30.

On the sidelines of the Festival, the AFC will run two courses for coaches up to level C for the women’s football team to train up talented young female coaches under 25 and also a conference for the head coaches of the 8 women’s football teams.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) plans to rotate each club so they all have the chance to compete in the National Women Football Championships and take part in the Festival. Representing for Vietnam in the 2008 AFC U 13 Women Festival was Ha Tay women’s football club. This year, Vietnam’s representative will be Hanoi women’s football club.
