V-League sees record number of fans

The latest round of V-League 2009 has attracted a record number of fans since the beginning of the tournament.

No available seats at Chi Lang stadium.

According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), as many as 95,000 supporters flocked to seven stadiums nationwide to enjoy exciting games.

It was estimated that spectators had come to a stadium with an average of 13, 642 thousand, an increase of 2,071 compared to 11,571 thousand in the 7th round.

The stadium of Chi Lang in Da Nang city welcomed the biggest number of fans with 35,000 people to enjoy the match between hosts Da Nang and defending champions Binh Duong last Sunday.

Meanwhile, Dong Thap and Vinh stadiums saw the same number of spectators with 16,000 each. And there were 11,000 fans at Nha Trang stadium and 4,500 fans at Hang Day stadium in Hanoi.
