Trouncing Valencia club, the Maldives 5-0 in its stadium on May 19, V-League’s current champion Binh Duong has entered the second round of the AFC cup as the top team of group H.

Binh Duong acquired 13 points in the qualifier round, with four wins, one loss and one draw. In the second round, the team will have a good chance to enter the quarter-finals, because its rival will be Malaysia’s Kedal club, the second-place team of group G.

The victory over Valencia on May 19 was a wonderful start for new coach Mai Duc Chung. In this match, host Valencia wasn’t motivated because it had zero points after five matches.
