Coach Vuong Tien Dung (L) is welcomed by some fans of Hai Phong

Coach Vuong Tien Dung was welcomed back to Hai Phong Wednesday, less than a day after he was sacked by another V-League club, The Cong, for poor performance.

Dung had his first working day with Hai Phong players in Wednesday’s practice session, with coach Dinh The Nam working as an assistant.

Hai Phong fans at the practice session looked happy to see Dung back. Last year, Dung had helped Hai Phong earn third place in the league.

Hai Phong is now placed ninth and Dung’s first challenge this weekend will be a home clash against third-placed Fourth Military Zone at the Lach Tray Stadium.
