HCMC’s Ly The Vinh on Monday defeated teammate Dang Dinh Tien 40-32 in the 3 cushion billiards final of the national Billiards and Snooker Championships 2009.

“I have been in the finals for the last three consecutive years and now I have finally been crowned so I’m very happy,” Vinh said. “It has been a very hard title to win because of the high standard of competition.”

“I will keep practicing hard as I want to stay at the top.”

HCMC’s Lam Trung Long beat Phan Hoang of Hanoi in the Pool 8 final.
