A team of amateur footballers will leave for the United Kingdom today to participate in the 2009 Budweiser Cup international finals to take place next Monday at Old Trafford.

The Vietnamese Budweiser Cup team is comprised of seven players from Hanoi – Dao Ngoc Anh, Tran Hoai Long, Ngo Duy Khanh, Bui Van Thang, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Dao Anh Duc and Giang Quoc Khanh. Sixteen teams will contest the finals of the tournament.

“Emerging from the Players’ Tunnel and playing on the pitch at Old Trafford is a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said manager Hoang Xuan Hong. “We are thrilled to be representing Vietnam in the Budweiser Cup and hope to bring the championship home with us.”
